Description
The Juvenile Emperor Angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator) is a stunning marine fish known for its striking appearance. When young, it features a vibrant blue body adorned with concentric white and electric blue rings. As it matures, it develops a deep blue body with bright yellow horizontal stripes and yellow tail and fins. This species thrives in well-established reef aquariums with ample hiding spots and moderate to strong water flow. They require a tank size of at least 200 litres and stable water parameters: temperature around 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, and salinity of 1.020-1.025. Feeding should include a variety of marine-based foods like algae, Mysis shrimp, and spirulina.
