The Lipstick Tang, also known as the, "Naso elegans," is a stunning marine fish renowned for its vibrant coloration and elongated snout resembling a lipstick tube. Growing up to 40 centimetres in length, it displays a striking red-orange body accented with bold black lines and a bright yellow tail. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, this species thrives in large, well-established aquariums with ample swimming space, rock formations for hiding, and live rock for grazing. Water parameters should be maintained at a temperature of 22-28°C, pH of 8.1-8.4, and a specific gravity of 1.020-1.025. A herbivorous diet consisting of marine algae, spirulina, and occasional meaty treats ensures optimal health and vibrant coloration. Regular water changes and diligent monitoring of water quality are essential for the Lipstick Tang's well-being.
