Description
The Mustard Tang (Acanthurus pyroferus) is a vibrant marine fish characterized by its striking mustard-yellow coloration and distinctive blue markings around the eyes and dorsal fin. Found in the Indo-Pacific region, they inhabit coral reefs and rocky areas, grazing on algae and plankton. Growing up to 25 centimetres in length, these fish require a spacious aquarium of at least 300 litres, with ample hiding spots and live rock for grazing. Maintain water temperature between 24-26°C, pH level of 8.1-8.4, and specific gravity of 1.020-1.025. Ensure strong water flow and provide a varied diet rich in algae and supplemented with occasional meaty foods. Regular water changes are essential for their well-being.
