Care Guide

Tank Requirements:

Minimum tank size: 55 gallons (200 litres).

Temperature: 22–26°C (72–79°F).

pH: 6.5–7.5.

Substrate: Fine gravel or sand.

Decorations: Include open swimming spaces with plants, rocks, and driftwood for natural hiding areas.

Diet:

Omnivorous; enjoy a mix of high-quality flakes, sinking pellets, frozen foods like brine shrimp, and occasional vegetables such as blanched spinach or zucchini.

Tank Mates:

Ideal companions include peaceful species like rainbowfish, tetras, rasboras, and other barbs. Avoid slow-moving or long-finned fish, as these barbs may nip at them.

Care Tips:

Keep in groups of at least 5–6 to reduce stress and encourage natural behaviour.

Maintain excellent water quality with a strong filtration system and regular water changes.

Provide plenty of swimming room as these fish are fast and active.

The Red Line Torpedo Barb’s striking appearance and lively nature make it a must-have for experienced aquarists looking to enhance their aquarium’s visual appeal.
