Description

The Regal Angelfish (Pygoplites diacanthus) is a striking marine fish prized for its vibrant colors and graceful appearance. It features a deep, compressed body adorned with electric blue and yellow stripes, highlighted by a distinctive crown-like extension on its head. These fish are found in coral-rich tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, often swimming near reef slopes.

Care Requirements:

- Tank Size: Minimum 200 litres (50 gallons).
- Water Temperature: 24-27°C (75-80°F).
- Water Parameters: pH 8.1-8.4, specific gravity 1.020-1.025.
- Diet: Primarily herbivorous; feed a variety of marine algae, supplemented with high-quality flakes or pellets.
- Compatibility: Generally peaceful but may show aggression towards similar species or other angelfish.
